Making Paper 80gsm to 300gsm thickness

August 19, 2018

Once you get the hang of making paper, you can then control the amount of pulp that you pull each time, to suit the thickness of your paper.

If you want fine paper for use such as use in a home printer, you pull only a small amount covering the bottom of your deckle, and couch onto wet felts then compress.

If you want thick, then you have a heavier amount of pulp to pull up, once you are ready for the couching sheets, ensure the water has drained away then couch as normal.
